Cheltenham Gold Cup Odds
The Cheltenham Gold Cup is the spotlight of the Cheltenham Festival and the most esteemed Grade 1 chase in the United Kingdom, placing alongside the Aintree Grand National as one of the horse racing and betting highlights of the year .
Run over 3 miles and 2½ furlongs on Cheltenham Racecourse’s new course, the Cheltenham Gold Cup is open to race horses aged five and above. Many Cheltenham Gold Cup runners are especially trained for this tremendous race, and can go an entire career without running handicap races to sustain the confidence asked to win the cup.
Paul Nicholls is the Cheltenham trainer to beat in this race with the natural endowment in his yard and he is the trainer to watch this year also.
It is considered that Nicholls will keep the 2 market leaders apart for the better part of the season with each horse attempting unique path to the confrontation in March.
The 2010 betting odds are up already and Kauto Star is the defined front-runner to win it again from Denman but his strongest challenge this year may come from last year’s RSA Chase winner, Cooldine.
